Leucocrinum montanum

I’m grateful to have a fantastic park so close to my house. Without it, I’m sure I would never have kept up my jogging routine (now going for over 16 years). The birdwatching can be great. In fact, in the past week I saw three western tanagers! But this morning’s jog reminded me that even though it’s a city park, with its share of weeds, there are also some terrific native plants there as well. It seems early, but I came across five plants in bloom this morning. I wrote about it for the blog run by the Colorado Master Gardeners and Native Plant Masters of El Paso County.
